Our Cottages are located in and near the village of Healaugh which is in the centre of Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park approximately ten miles from Richmond. The oldest cottage dates back to the 18th Century and each has its own individual character. They have all been modernised and renovated to a high standard, without destroying the qualities which make them such an attractive holiday experience in the first place. OPEN ALL YEAR Swale View Holiday Cottage Swale View is a lovely old period cottage which was originally the Village Inn. It is a very spacious property in the centre of Healaugh. The cottage has a sunny south facing position and a garden with a warm southern aspect. There are superb views up, down and across the valley from the property and its garden. Thiernswood Holiday Cottage Thiernswood Cottage is an outstanding holiday home for the family. It is a fully modernised, traditional Dales cottage, built in the middle of the last century and set in the grounds of Thiernswood Hall. It has it's own enclosed garden, and nestles under a wooded hillside and is approached by a tree lined drive one third of a mile long The Bothy Holiday Cottage The Bothy is the ideal honeymoon cottage.  It is cosy, tastefully decorated, fully modernised conversion of the tack rooms over the old stone stable block of Thiernswood Hall. Walking in Swaledale The area is essentially walking country and you will find much to enjoy as you tramp the heather moors, ford the streams or pause to admire the handiwork of dry stone wall builders. The River Swale Healaugh is a small village which won the best kept village competition and houses the largest of our cottages, Swale View.
