Far Nook

Far Nook is a traditionally built detached Lakeland stone residence set in its own
grounds on the northern edge of Ambleside, but only five minutes walk from the town
centre facilities for restaurants and shops.

Grasmere and Wordsworth's Dove Cottage are approx. 4 miles away and Wordsworth's
other historic house Rydal Mount, is approx. 1.5 miles away.

Far Nook Bedrooms

Bedroom 1 is our delightful Double  room, with a King sized brass bed.
In addition a two seater sofa provides a relaxed seating area.
There is a colour TV, alarm clock and hospitality tray.
The room has a dual aspect and a light and airy en-suite bathroom.

Bedroom 2 is our lovely twin room with twin single beds and en suite bathroom.
This room overlooks part of the garden and also has views eastwards to Wansfell.
There is a colour TV with DVD player, an alarm clock and a hospitality tray.
Seating is provided by two comfy bedroom chairs.

Bedroom 3 is our cosy double bedded room.
This room contains a vanity unit with washbasin and in addition has the benefit of a
separate lockable private bathroom  (for the use of this room only).
The room is at the front of the house and enjoys views towards Loughrigg.
There are also comfortable bedroom chairs along with a colour TV with video player,
alarm clock and hospitality tray.

Far Nook's Garden

We have a lovely garden which changes with the seasons,
which our guests are welcome to enjoy during their stay with us

We have  private parking  for our guests, ideal for leaving your car behind and taking
many of the lovely walks from our doorstep.

Alternatively For public transport, bus stops (north & south) are 300 yards away,
walk to your destination and get the bus back, or vice versa.
