'Forest of Bowland'
Alan Richards
Lancashire's Forest of Bowland is a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that changes little with the passage of time. It is quite different in character to the neighbouring Yorkshire Dales or Lake District, here there is little promotion of tourism.
The Forest of Bowland is an ideal retreat for a few days peace and quiet and my selection of pictures shows what Bowland can offer the visitor throughout its changing seasons. The pictures were taken in the 1980's but I can assure you that little will have changed since then.
