LAKELAND VOICE
Click-Here
Not one for me but If you like singing and hill walking then this will be the rambling club for you to join, a
group of singers who love hill walking - and combine the two with concerts in places like the Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, St Olaf's at Wast Water, St. James in Buttermere, Stonethwaite in Borrowdale and Lancrigg in Easedale in the Lakes - while walking and camping in the mountains in between. They are always looking for new members who enjoy singing - All songs are taught by ear - so no need to worry if you can't read music.
Next Event is at Dent Youth Hostel, November 12-14, 2004 singing songs about the building of the Settle Carlisle Line. And next May 28-30, 2005 they're doing their Hills are Alive May bank holiday Lakeland Songline at the Black Sail Youth Hostel giving concerts in local pubs and churches.
