TAKE A BREAK IN THE EDEN VALLEY
MILL BECK COTTAGE B&B
Bed & Breakfast Accommodation, Morland, Eden Valley
www.millbeckcottage.com
Morland is a delightful, peaceful and unspoilt village midway between Appleby and Penrith, nestling in the Eden Valley between the Lakes (Ullswater) and the Pennines. Morland is one of the oldest villages, having grown up around the beck and Saxon church on its small hill, the oldest in Cumbria dating from the 8th Century. Mill Beck Cottage, on Water Street, faces the beck, with open fields beyond. The bedrooms overlook the stream with its ford, footbridge and grassy banks where swallows swoop in the summer and you may see a heron dining on minnows. The beck is also home to families of ducks. Walkers collected and deposited by arrangement,
trains met, clothes dried and bicycles stored. Baggage transported.
