Our holiday cottages are mostly in the Western Lake District, especially in Eskdale, Wasdale, Ravenglass, Gosforth and Ennerdale, although we also have houses in the Borrowdale valley near Keswick, in the Duddon Valley near Coniston and in Grasmere. This part of the Lake District has a slower, quieter pace of life than in the more bustling centres of Windermere and Ambleside. Here, there are still more sheep than people, a real sense of tranquility, and hundreds of wonderful walks, either along the river banks at valley floors, the coastal beaches of the Irish Sea or high up on some of the most spectacular fells in the country.

Rose Cottage is located in Goathland, otherwise known as Aidensfield, the setting for the TV series Heartbeat. Just a short stroll away from the cottage you will see the Aidensfield Arms, Scripps Garage and other beloved sights from the series.



We have 3 double rooms and one single. Each double room is en-suite with secondary access to the family en-suite for the single room if needed. There is a TV and Tea and Coffee making facilities in all of the double rooms.
