About MS

Later this year I will be walking to every Newspaper office and Radio

funds for two Multiple Sclerosis Charities - The Accelerated Cure

Project, an American national non-profit organisation which is

Close Up in Nature Photography
by Phil McDermott
Without doubt there is something awe inspiring and wholesome in the big view. Every year there are vast arrays of calendars all full of pretty landscape pictures adorning our high street shops. Many we can relate to and one day would like to see for ourselves. Indeed, we are fortunate in this country to be blessed with such wonderfully diverse scenery. From the wide open spaces of the fens to the rugged mountains of Cumbria, Wales and Scotland. From rolling meadows to dramatic coastlines they all have an important part to play. However, sometimes with such a grand vista it is difficult to fully appreciate its beauty simply because there is nowhere for the eye to settle, no point on which to concentrate. There is just too much to take in. It is just so overwhelming.

Do you want better pictures from your digital SLR camera?
Are you confused by all those settings and numbers on your lenses? Do you want to escape from the auto setting and start using the creative zone of your camera?
RAW, JPEG — what does it all mean?

Well, take heart, our Digital Photography Workshops on the Isle of Mull with resident professional photographer Phil McDermott will provide you with the perfect opportunity to improve your digital photography skills whilst enjoying some of the spectacular scenery that the Isle of Mull has to offer.

Today's walk is moderate, we have a 1000ft ascent in the middle of it, but the rest is fairly easy walking. Please be very careful when near any potholes, the ground can be very, very slippery!

Inverasdale is a small crofting community near Poolewe. Our croft is on the shore of the Loch Ewe with wonderful views over the sea to the hills. It is well positioned as a base to explore the area, with Poolewe and Gairloch close by for obtaining provisions or eating out.
