Poppy Cottage was fully refurbished to the highest standard in Spring 2004. The cottage is on the edge of Horton in Ribblesdale village with breathtaking views of the sphinx like mountain of Pen-y-Ghent. Horton is on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway line, about 5 miles north of Settle and is in the heart of the Three Peaks. It has it’s own railway station, two pubs, a walkers café, church and a general shop with post office. A parking area for a car is provided. mains electric and water. Background heating is provided by electric storage heaters. They can be easily adjusted to provide a comfortable level of heat (All electricity is included in the cost).
