The house is centrally located in the village, just below Skeldale House, the surgery of the vet, James Herriot, in the well-known TV series "All Creatures Great and Small". All of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities, colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, clock radios, shaver points and hair dryers. An iron, ironing board, trouser press and broadband connection are also available on request. Guests have the use of a large TV lounge on the ground floor with log fires in the winter. Thornton Lodge is an elegant country house set within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Located between Aysgarth Falls and Hawes in a beautiful part of Wensleydale, many of the bedrooms enjoy fine views of Pen Hill. Offering 5 star silver accommodation for B&B with dinner available by arrangement, guests are at leisure to relax in the house and grounds throughout the day. We have a wonderfully large family room offering flexible sleeping for up to 2 adults and 4 children. Our lovely wheelchair accessible room can be a twin or a double and has a sofa bed too.
