Set in stunning scenery at the northern foot of the Kirkstone Pass by Brotherswater, the 3000 acre Hartsop Hall estate comprises a working farm and two traditional Lakeland self-catering cottages, each sleeping six in space and comfort. Dovedale Cottage is a wing of the C15th Hartsop Hall, whilst Caudale Beck is C16th farmhouse, both are listed, and provide a blend of traditional furnishings with modern creature comforts. Walks criss-cross the farm in all directions, providing access to the Fairfield and High Street ranges, or more gently along the valley bridlepaths to Patterdale and Ullswater.

Helvellyn Cottage is an end of terrace old miners cottage situated above
the village. The cottage sleeps four people in a double and twin room. It offers
self-catering accommodation in a traditional cottage,. It has recently been
fully refurbished to provide the mod cons that one would expect in the 21st
century, including oil-fired central heating! The open plan lounge/dining room
overlooks the fells, and offers a large wood-burning stove, colour TV, video/DVD
player, CD player and a selection of books, maps and games to while away the
evenings
