Ing Hill is 300 metres up on the North Pennine fells to the east of Lakeland, situated in the lovely dale of Mallerstang, part of the Upper Eden Valley. There are fine views from the site. It is less than four miles from the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the entrance to Herriot country, with the Lakes only 30 miles or so. Within a short drive can be found attractive pubs, teashops and restaurants. The market town of Kirkby Stephen is some five miles, providing local shopping (including late opening) and a variety of antique and craft shops. Here you will also find the local Tourist Information Centre and be able to reach the station on the famous Settle-Carlisle Line. Horse riding, golf and fishing are all available nearby. The Barn is set in 2½ acres and includes a large field. Dogs are accepted in ground floor apartments for a small fee and subject to some simple rules and they may be run off the lead in this field. We do not take children or babies.

Situated in an imposing position at the foot of Blencathra with stunning views across the valley to Threlkeld common and Clough Head, the property is ideally located to walk the Blencathra and Skiddaw range and within easy access of Keswick, with its many amenities, Borrowdale and Ullswater. The White Horse Inn sits immediately behind the property and Threlkeld village is 1 mile away with 2 more pubs each serving bar meals.
